Welcome to Dirty DC

Welcome to Dirty DC! A gravel race like never before! Just outside of Caledon, teams of 6 will set off for a 100 kilometer ride on the famous Overberg dirt roads. The route incorporates some of the best gravel the Western Cape has to offer. Tough and undulating, but also breathtakingly beautiful. 

 

Teams are made up of maximum 6 riders, with the team’s time taken at the 3rd rider over the line. All bikes are welcome, gravel, mtb or even vintage, choose your weapon!!

Entry Fee is R4500

The entry fee is R4500 per team of up to 6 riders. Feed Zones: There will be 2 Feed Zones as well as 1 stocked Waterpoint – provided by the organizers at the halfway mark.

FAQS

R750 per rider, minimum of 3 Riders per team.

There will be 1 Waterpoint provided by the organizers, and 2 Feed Zones where you can have backup on route.

Only online entries will be accepted and entries will close 2 weeks before the event.

Yes, the routes will be marked and we will share the GPX files closer to the event.

We will cap the entries at 100 teams – 600 Riders

About the
race

The route is on some of the most amazing gravel roads we could find! An undulating 100 kilometers through beautiful green and yellow canola fields awaits you. The total elevation is 1350 meters.

Race day info

The race village is at the Jongensklip Primary School, Jongensklip Road Caledon.

Start – 8 AM – 9 AM:

Teams can set off anytime between 8 and 9am.

If there is a team that starts in front of you, please give them a 1-minute gap before you set off.
Make sure that your whole team cross the start line as close together as possible. The Team Time will be taken on the 3rd Rider on your Team over the finish line. Remember that for the Mixed category the Team’s time will be taken on the 2nd Lady over the line.

There will be delicious coffee and sandwiches for sale at the start. The beers at the finish line are on us, and there will be all kinds of lunch goodies for sale.
